Job Summary:
The Senior Data Scientist in Global Planning & Demand Management team is responsible for supporting the enterprise Sales & Operations planning (S&OP) community by developing and implementing advance analytics solutions to solve business problems. 

Job Responsibilities:
•    Work with business partners to understand informational needs, gather requirements and dive into data to create insights, ultimately driving sound business decisions.
•    Develop, implement, and maintain advance analytical and optimization techniques to solve business problems in the areas of inventory optimization, orders management, demand forecasting, sales, operations planning etc.
•    Develop tools and pipelines to efficiently collect, clean, and prepare massive volumes of data for analysis. 
•    Establish key performance tracking metrics for deployed models and solutions and monitor ongoing solution performance. 
•    Explore and implement semantic data capabilities through Natural Language Processing, text analysis and machine learning techniques.
•    Conduct research on data model optimization and algorithms to improve effectiveness and accuracy on data analyses.
•    Lead to define requirements and scope of data analyses; present and report possible business insights to management using data visualization technologies.

Skills:
Business Statistics: Knowledge of the statistical tools, processes, and practices to describe business results in measurable scales; ability to use statistical tools and processes to assist in making business decisions.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Analytical Thinking : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Machine Learning: Knowledge of principles, technologies and algorithms of machine learning; ability to develop, implement and deliver related systems, products and services.
Programming Languages: Knowledge of basic concepts and capabilities of programming; ability to use tools, techniques and platforms in order to write and modify programming languages.
Query and Database Access Tools: Knowledge of data management systems; ability to use, support and access facilities for searching, extracting and formatting data for further use..
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

Basic Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree plus at least 7 years of experience.
•    Experience and strong working knowledge with Snowflake cloud data warehouse, Snow SQL, Power BI or other industry standard coding and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R).
•    Solid foundation utilizing machine learning algorithms to develop predictive analytics solutions. 
•    Excellent visualization and presentation skills. 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Top Candidates will also have
•    Supply chain analytics experience
•    Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS
•    Experience in databases such as Oracle
•    Self-start with ability to learn, adapt, improvise, and problem solve with poise in a rapidly changing environment.
•    Exhibit strong planning and organization, excellent initiative, the ability to delegate tasks effectively, and well-honed interpersonal and leadership skills.
•    Strong team player and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
•    Growth mindset - ability to learn and take initiative to keep up with the latest technology.
