The Data Engineer is responsible for helping to construct, test and maintain architectures such as distributed data pipelines, event streams and databases using a varied set of technologies to deliver on business requirements. Data Engineers work closely with our software engineers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists to ensure the data architecture of your projects is aligned to the strategic architecture of Comms and Branding.
The Customer Data Platform is the fusing of data, technology and content to deliver personalised user experiences. The platform enables marketers to plan, execute, and analyze multiple targeted marketing campaigns: To attract, convert, nurture, measure. You will play a critical role in designing and delivering the Adobe Experience Platform and application services built on the platform; partnering with application and Data Engineering teams, integrating with the UBS Comms & Branding marketing ecosystem.
We’re looking for a Data Engineer to:

• drive the design and build of large datasets and data pipelines to support building out our Adobe Experience Platform which will enable advanced segmentation and unique customer experience targeting, automation, and analytics.
• gather and understand marketing domain data requirements, complex data pipelines for real time data, click stream analysis and work to achieve high-quality data ingestion goals.
• engineer reliable data pipelines for sourcing, processing, distributing, and storing data in different ways, using data platform infrastructure effectively
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
• build robust, secure and scalable APIs for accessing data
• transform data into valuable insights that inform business decisions, making use of our internal data platforms and applying appropriate analytical techniques, metrics and visualisation
• develop a comprehensive knowledge of the bank’s global taxonomy, data structures and metrics, advocating change where needed for product development
• develop, train, and apply machine-learning models (MLOps, MLflow) to make better predictions, automate manual processes, and solve challenging business problems
• work with Azure Data Lake, Cosmos, Databricks, Data Factory

You’ll be working in the GOTO, Group Functions, Comms and Branding technology team focusing on bringing as much insight data as possible to inform marketers and sales on the best omni-channel marketing. You’ll be working with the C&B Services teams in Zurich, London, USA, Poland, and India. We manage a wide range of digital marketing and communication platforms, such as the public website, microsites, analytics, global e-mail marketing solutions, marketing automation, high performance web caching, mobile applications, the corporate intranet and employee engagement systems.
