Job Responsibilities –
Good understanding of credit policy and underwriting regarding Business Loans and LAP book- Evaluating credit proposals covering financial, business, market risk & decision of the loan
- Appraising borrower’s financial, business and credit track record to assess the credit worthiness
- Analysis of the financial statements, Bank records, ITR and GSTN records of the prospective customer to identify the short term & long term solvency & liquidity position
- Strong knowledge about local geography and socio-economic strata of the branch sales zone
- Effective implementation and coordination with agencies to prevent fraud, over valuation of property and legal risk
- To assess the credit risk and adopt suitable course corrections and give feedback to central policy and underwriting team for preventive actions
- Understanding the customer’s requirements and ensuring quick service delivery
- Hold high responsibility for implementation of high standards of underwriting and internal controls in the branch in order to safeguard the assets and data
- Overseeing Operational risk & support functions including PDD, collections data and foreclosures requests
- Monitor for checks on Frauds and Early Delinquencies; conduct regular branch audit
- Regular monitoring of portfolio and collateral management
- Monitor and enforce approval rate and TAT as per prescribed standards
- Execution of all the work to ensure compliance to KYC, regulatory needs, credit underwriting, collateral management, Legal agencies and Audit function
- Basic Analytics and MIS reporting to various stakeholders on regular basis at branch level
- Implement Standard Operation Policies, Process Documentations and Risk framework as suggested by Risk Policy unit
- To initiate suitable process changes to reduce risk and improve overall efficiency
- Team & Vendor Management – mentor and train them for proper delegation of work and maintaining credit standards
- Has to travel locally daily to do PD, make customer and vendor visits
