Job description

Based in Mumbai and reporting to the India Head of Campus Recruiting, this position will lead a team of campus recruiters to drive campus recruitment strategy and efforts for Corporate functions in India. This involves recruiting top talent from universities both locally and within the region to participate in the full time Analyst Programs plus the Summer Internship program which is considered a primary source for the full time program.


As an integral member of the global Campus Recruiting team, this person will have responsibility for the main elements of the Campus Recruiting infrastructure, as well as input into the strategy and philosophy of the firm’s hiring.  


Job Description


Recruiting Strategy


  • Create, oversee and influence recruiting strategy designed to attract top talent.
  • Design and develop robust sourcing strategy in partnership with the business and outline an effective plan to build and develop campus relationships.
  • Continue to develop the diversity strategy to help ensure the intake of junior talent appropriately reflects the target population.
  • Outline strategic plans and present regular updates to senior management and diversity committees.
  • Actively lead and guide the business to drive the recruiting agenda as part of the Analyst Development Council.
  • Lead the efforts to maintain and refresh school teams and business interviewers on an ongoing basis.
  • Build a solid recruiting platform and market the recruiting efforts internally to get strong participation from the business to be actively engaged in the recruiting process.
  • Formulate selling strategies for those candidates with offers including engagement post-offer prior to joining.
  • Regularly evaluate sources of hire (schools visited, corporate programs, diversity organizations, referrals, etc.) and correlate back to cost per hire and performance. Adjust sourcing strategy as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain Campus Recruiting budget to ensure that costs are in-line and appropriately managed.
  • Develop expertise on recruiting techniques, competitive intelligence, generational insight, and interviewing skills.
  • Analyze recruiting stats and metrics on an on-going basis, analyze their strategic significance and provide trends to key stakeholders.
  • Manage key recruiting projects and initiatives as needed.

Relationship/ Resource Management


  • Develop strong working relationships with key business champions to help motivate their participation in recruiting efforts.
  • Partner with hiring managers to determine and establish annual analyst and intern hiring targets.
  • Partner with other recruiting managers in APAC and across NAMR and EMEA regions to share best practices and implement firm-wide recruiting initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the Analyst Program Managers to ensure right talents are recruited for each business and seamless transition for hires to the Analyst Programs.
  • Ensure teams are consistent in interview structure and evaluation of candidates.
  • Manage Campus Recruiting team and help individuals set goals and objectives, provide regular feedback and coaching; review team operational structure and determine efficiencies on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure proper visibility of recruiting program with management, schools, and other key constituents (e.g. meet regularly with career services directors). 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Campus Recruiting managers, University Relations, and LOB recruiting teams.
  • Seek out opportunities to build relationships with non-core schools and key organizations. 

Marketing/ Branding/Education


  • Partner with the Marketing team to execute on-campus branding and marketing, locally regionally.
  • Travel to campus with teams for initial presentations and interviews.
  • Pre-identify top talent by attending on/off campus presentations and other events, such as career fairs, hosting receptions, and through interviewing candidates.
  • Manage content of marketing materials (web site, on-campus presentation, brochure, job descriptions, campus FAQs, Vault, etc.).
  • Continue to advocate for new marketing initiatives to target and attract candidates.

Summer Programs


  • Plan and manage 10-week Summer Analyst Programs, including orientation days (with Training) and continuing education.
  • Lead selection and evaluation process of summers to full time offers.

Desired Experience


  • MBA in Human Resources with 8+ years relevant experience in Human Resources (Recruiting/Business Partnering).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with knowledge of financial services or recruiting experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with executive presence, strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities; ability to multi-task. Demonstrated capability to lead and manage projects.
  • Ability to translate the business strategy into a comprehensive campus recruitment agenda.
  • Proven relationships with key business partners and other main stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to develop strong relationships across a matrixed and global organization.
  • Strong managerial skills with keen interest in guiding and coaching the team.
  • Sound analytical skills with an ability to assess situations using both qualitative and quantitative factors.
  • Creative and strategic mindset with ability to drive projects and initiatives forward. High degree of self-initiative and ownership.
  • Ability to source for creative solutions for the business and the team, keeping in mind relevant policies and regulations.
  • Exceptional judgment and demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
  • Regular travel required in India and occasional travel to the region.
