Job Title: CCTV & LV (Fire Alarm) Technician
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile CCTV & LV (Low Voltage) Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and Low Voltage systems, with a focus on fire alarm systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, security, and functionality of surveillance and fire detection systems.
Responsibilities:
- CCTV System Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and set up CCTV systems according to project specifications.
- Mount cameras, run cables, and ensure proper placement for comprehensive surveillance coverage.
- Integrate and configure CCTV components, including cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and related devices.
- LV (Fire Alarm) System Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems in adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in LV systems, ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of fire detection equipment.
- Integration and Networking:
- Ensure seamless integration of CCTV and LV systems with other security and building management systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot network connections for remote monitoring and control.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct thorough testing of both CCTV and LV systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Validate proper functioning of cameras, recording equipment, fire sensors, and notification devices.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and system configurations for both CCTV and LV systems.
- Generate comprehensive reports for clients outlining the status and performance of the installed systems.
- Client Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their security and fire safety requirements.
- Provide training to clients on the operation and maintenance of both CCTV and LV systems.
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay updated on local regulations, codes, and industry standards related to CCTV and LV systems.
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety and security standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CCTV & LV (Fire Alarm) Technician or in a related field.
- Strong technical skills in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both CCTV and LV systems.
- Knowledge of networking, IP camera technology, and fire alarm system protocols.
- Familiarity with various CCTV equipment, fire alarm devices, and related software.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications in CCTV installation, LV systems, and fire alarm systems are advantageous.
