Business Analyst

Work Location:  Bangalore, India

We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical and detail-oriented candidate to help build scalable, predictive and prescriptive business analytics solutions that support our supply chain and logistics operation. The candidate will be part of the Global Support Operations (GSO) team working with Global Stakeholders, Solution Architect, Data Engineers and Business Intelligence Team to achieve our goals.

Role/Position

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with high attention to detail, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Candidates must have excellent analytical capabilities, be comfortable diving deep into data and communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the company.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business owners to understand the proposed project, cost, success measures and potential business impact (Return on Investment) 
• Analyze customer needs and suggest features for new chatbots (JDA) and Live Chats
• Monitor current performance and work on enhancement and optimization of existing chatbots.
• Collaborate with business owners to plan for, document and build appropriate analytics tools (Tableau dashboard for example) to enable the business to realize the expected benefits (drive adoption, measure success, identify improvements and effectively operationalize). 
• Work with the Solution Architects and Developers teams to ensure analytics requirements are properly captured within the product requirements.
• Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems; identify root cause of business trends, formulate conclusions and recommendations.
• Propose and drive new improvements to increase adoption and efficiencies.
• Propose and implement new metrics that identify trends and issues affecting the system or business. 
• Participate in solution testing to ensure the business requirement is met.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance, engineering or equivalent area of study
• 5+ Years of experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for complex reporting.
• Experience in using visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Experience in using process flow diagrams (MS Visio, for example)
• Data manipulation and analysis skills using Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or MBA with major in Statistics, Operations or Supply Chain.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean or other improvement methodologies
• 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Analytics (Procurement, Inventory Management, or Logistics).
• Experience working in very large data warehouse environments.
• Ability to understand business strategy and provide consultative business analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to assume leadership role with cross-functional peers.
