Position Title - Business Controller Logistics

Experience - 5-8 Yrs
Qualification - CA or MBA (Finance) with Graduation in Engg.
Objective of the role - Drive business planning and control for Logistics operations (both outbound and inbound) to support effective decision making by conducting analysis and preparing reports/presentations for scheduled and ad hoc requirements.
Key Resposnibilities -
Business Planning and Strategy Formulation Support
Partner with Logistics (Planning, Procurement and Operations) Team to develop UBL Long Range Plan/ strategy and annual operating plan (AOP)
Discuss the data being used, drill deeper into the analysis, leverage different data sets/cuts and generate multiple scenarios to aid decision-making.
Collate and scrutinize data across including operating plans, requirements, forecasts, and budget estimates
Present targets and budgets to the management team to aid decision making
Business Partnering (Analytics and Operations Support)
Develop and maintain financial models for Logistics costs, analyze variances, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Lead preparation of LE (Latest Estimate) data related to Logistics every quarter to enable progress as per plans and implement course-corrections
Generate data/information reports and presentations for Monthly Review Meetings; Present these numbers to Operations Head & Procurement/Logistics Head for review
Prepare and identify variances (budget vs. actual) and gather explanations to improve understanding of variances and increase forecast accuracy
Provide information/data for freight details for investor presentations/promoter meets
Calculate profitability from various sourcing options available and provide recommendation to relevant stakeholders.
Special Projects
Partner with consultants/vendor for special projects; Provide data/information and operational support during execution
Review consultant reports/recommendations, seek clarifications and guide implementation of changes in existing process and systems across various departments
Provide costing for new product launches, as required.
Team Management
Provide coaching, support and leadership to ensure adequate skills and competencies are developed in the team
