Role description:
We are looking for an experienced AWS Solution Architect to become a part of our development team.
Responsibilities:
- AWS and Node.js advising and consultancy, code reviews, and refactoring.
- Designing integrations of the client's systems, and middle system maintenance.
- Putting designs and diagrams in Lucidchart, planning 3 weeks sprints with the Scrum team, alignment on new concepts and goals with main stakeholders, and converting business needs into clear technical tasks for the development team.
- Suggestion of additional approaches, optimization practices, and new AWS services integrations to meet goals set at the sprint planning.
- Maintenance of existing infrastructure, taking into account new best practices and technologies on the market, comparing and applying new tendencies and services, and different solutions available on the market to choose the most optimal one.
- Keeping up to date with modern standards and ensuring project documentation maintenance.
Required skills & knowledge:
- Must have: 5-7 years of experience.
- Event-Driven Architecture - some experience with this concept is required (can be Kafka, Solace, Pub/Sub, Messaging, or Event Sourcing).
- Understanding of REST API design principles.
- Good knowledge of Node.js.
- Unit tests writing.
- Experience with AWS services, Lambda functions, S3, SNS, SQS, etc.
- BitBucket/Git/Gitlab.
- JSON.
