Job Purpose

Wiring harness Design Engineer with knowledge on schematics, 3D routing and layout design for automotive applications as in 2 wheelers.

Key Responsibilities

• Sound knowledge on Wiring Harness Design and manufacturing process with 5+ years recommended.
• Strong understanding of child components related to Wiring Harness like connectors, terminals, wires, fuses etc.
• Should have good practical knowledge in circuit design and layout design.
• Experience in schematics design using Creo schematics and Autocad.
• Experience using circuit simulation software like e-simulate is preferred.
• Experience in 3D routing using creo cabling is preferred.
• Sound knowledge on CAD modeling and assembly using CREO is recommended on an intermediate level.
• Excellent knowledge about component selection and parametric considerations of connectors, wires, seals etc are recommended.
• Experience on 2D layout drawing creation with manufacturing requirements is recommended.
• Knowledge and practice of DFMEA, PFMEA, DFA for Wiring Harness is recommended.
• Documentation knowledge of Routing documents, system based schematics for service and troubleshooting guidelines is recommended.
• Experience on close coordination with vehicle and engine teams preferred to finalize packaging.
• Need experience on PLM windchill for component lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge on VAVE and alternate source development.
• Strong knowledge on component level and vehicle level testing methodologies for harness application.

Education

Bachelors in Engineering / Bachelors in Technology

Preferred in EEE / ECE

Experience

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Wiring Harness Design.
• Expertise on harness schematics logic preparation for product and service, 3D cabling design, Harness circuit simulation.
• In-depth knowledge on wiring schematics, layout design, child part specification selection etc.
• Experience on Design tools like Creo modeling, assembly, cabling and schematics. 
• Exposure to DFMEA, Design guidelines, DFM etc. is preferred.
