Associate Marketing Manager

About the Team
We are looking for a results-driven project manager with a strong affinity with digital marketing to join the STMJ Projects and Innovation Team. The successful candidate will support Elsevier’s Researcher Academy (RA) working directly with the RA Project Manager, and report to the Marketing Operations Manage
About the Role
The STMJ department in Elsevier is responsible for publishing over 2,800 academic journals and more than half a million articles pa. Within STMJ, the Projects and Innovation Team is at the heart of the STMJ Marketing department, supporting STMJ’s team of publishers to achieve article submission growth and retention goals for new and existing journals. Researcher Academy is Elsevier’s free e-learning platform that provides access to countless e-learning resources designed to support researchers on every step of their research journey. The platform is also used by internal customer consultants and publishers for hosting their workshops.
Responsibilities
  • Assists customers with queries and provides solutions to any issues they raise, following communication guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Designs, develops, and implements marketing programs to support and position Researcher Academy's (RA) content, products, and services, overseen by the RA Project Manager.
  • Ensures that the RA website provides up-to-date and comprehensive product/service information that is easily available to existing customers and users.
  • Participates in the user journey design and supports the improvement of the usability of websites and/or other new media technology platforms.
  • Supports and coordinates live webinars and on-demand content.
  • Maintains the RA platform, uploads new content, and reports back on any site issues to the Project Manager.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for example: emails, banners, social media posts, webinars, promotional access and web marketing.
  • Ensure all relevant marketing material is produced within brand guidelines and distributed to required locations and channels on time.
  • Effective support for exhibits presence including planning, scheduling, and execution, specifically ensuring all the exhibit materials are delivered at exhibit location/booth as expected.
  • Keeps key stakeholders informed of progress & development of all relevant issues.
Requirements
  • Requires a college or university degree in marketing, publishing or a similar field of and 3-5 years experience in digital marketing and product marketing.
  • Solves routine problems using existing procedures and standard practices.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills to forge partnerships (both internally and externally).
  • Works effectively across different teams and functions with a collaborative mindset.
  • Basic IT awareness and skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc).
  • Project management skills.
