AddressOur client, a global Investment Bank, is looking to hire a Risk specialist to be part of its Front Office Risk team. The Front office Risk team is aligned to its Global Markets business supporting the firm's business across the following desks / asset class - Equities, Securitized Products, Rates, FX, and Credit. The Front Office Riskteam covers various gamut of Risk and capital Management activities for the Global Markets business globally.
The team's core functions are mainly to manage -
1. Risk & Profit and Loss across various desks / traders in identifying potentially toxic risks and PnL drivers, and stop loss management.
2. Assessing potential impact of upcoming economic events and running stress scenarios for the same to estimate potential economic impact on the firm's portfolios.
3. Capital Analysis and Planning: To analyze the regulatory capital requirement changes on a regular basis and identifying drivers of capital changes.
Key aspects of the role & responsibilities :
A. The incumbent will work closely with the Global Front Office Risk Team and focus on helping on the Daily Monitoring of key risks and scenarios.
B. Role will involve talking to traders as well as the 2nd line Risk Managers and any relevant team to understand trading strategies, product structures as well as the present and future impact of such risk on PnL.
C. Automate repeated daily analysis and work on producing more interactive reports (PowerBI / Tableau dashboards) to make risk viewing easier for Senior Management.
Desired & Mandatory skills & experience:
1. Experience in a Risk Management role would be preferred - Mandatory.
2. Strong analytical skills and programing skills. Python / VBA / Dashboarding tools like Power BI / Tableau - Mandatory.
3. The Person need to have programing skills to be able to set-up and automate reporting and monitoring processes - Mandatory.
4. Prior trading experience, recently or in the past - Desired.
