Qualification & Skills Required:
Post graduate degree in Zoology/Biology/Wildlife Sciences/Social Sciences/Conservation Biology. A doctoral degree in any of the key subject areas will be given preference.
Significant work experience (min 4-6 years) in an NGO setup, preferably related to wildlife.
Proven experience in project development, management & reporting.
Experience in liasoning with senior government officials.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi
Broad Responsibilities Include:
Develop plans to secure critical habitats (linkages, wetlands, grassland, sacred groves, Community conserved
areas, etc) outside PA network.
- Conceptualize growth of existing and new projects in consultation with PI and discuss with development.
- Prepare/amend Project Implementation Plan (PIPs) and budget documents for the existing projects and new projects
in consultation with the PI and project team.
- Prepare/update the concept plans, first draft of Standard Operation Protocol (SoP) of the Big Idea or Discipline in the
PPP manual.
- Responsible for the execution of the project Implementation Plan and the delivery of outcomes, outputs and
activities under the project.
- Facilitate in organising planning meetings and provide inputs into the development of project implementation plans.
- In coordination with team, develop new concept plans for scaling/implementation of new ideas to secure land.
- Finalize field reports (monthly, quarterly and annually) finalize with Division Head.
- Monitor the field activities and ensure that the team is performing optimally.
- Function as a quality control manager by constantly reviewing and updating the skill-set required for delivering the
outcomes and outputs in consultation with PI and DH.
. Work with partners to develop relevant funding proposals for securing lands to ensure funding for the projects.
