Position Purpose We are looking for a Team Leader Intern to join our team in a work-from-home or hybrid working environment. The role is ideal for part-qualified professionals pursuing a career in accounting. The role-holder will join an accounting team that delivers high quality Accounting Services to international clients. The role is busy and demanding but offers excellent opportunities to gain hands-on experience in various leadership tasks. Upon successfully completing the internship, the intern should have enough experience for us to sign at least 4 ACCA Performance Objectives: PO6 – Record and process transactions; and PO2 – Stakeholder Relationship Management. PO5 – Leadership and Management; PO13 – Plan and Control Performance. Key Tasks And Responsibilities - Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise an accounting team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards. Guide and mentor interns, overseeing their work and fostering positive learning environment.
- Client Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing enquiries, providing updates, and ensuring client satisfaction. Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and tailor our services accordingly.
- Quality Control: Review and approve the work of accounting interns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting standards. Conduct regular internal audits to maintain the highest quality of financial services.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to developing strategic plans for the accounting team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions. Collaborate with leadership to enhance overall financial processes.
- Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimise accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing among teams.
- Additional Accounting Duties: Assist with other accounting tasks as required.
Qualifications, Required Skills And Experience - Educational Background: Part-qualified ACCA/CA (or equivalent) - ESSENTIAL.
- Certifications: Xero Accounting Software Certified - ESSENTIAL
- Experience: Proven leadership experience in an accounting environment - ESSENTIAL.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Communication and Leadership: Effective communication and leadership teamwork skills and able to inspire and motivate a team.
- Client-Centric Approach: Client-centric mindset with the ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
- Attributes: Enthusiastic, well-organised, able to work in a reactive and fast-paced environment and prepared to work hard.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient with MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Dropbox, Google Drive.
