Skills and Qualifications

Experience in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP (WordPress)

Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications on WordPress / PHP.

Experience designing and developing responsive design websites

Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc

Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers

Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working responsive HTML pages for tablet, mobile, and desktop

Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN, or Mercurial would be a plus

A clear understanding of PHP back-end development

Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics

Strong communication skills

Ability to independently manage projects and report / present efforts to clients

An additional CMS exposure (Shopify, Magento, Drupal) would be an added advantage
