Responsibilities
• Partner with site operations team to execute safety policies and ensure compliance• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk in processes• Build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change• Provide comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis• Instruct and train Operations Leaders in safety policies• Identify and incorporate best practices into safety standards• Lead a team of safety specialists and coordinators• Create and execute leadership development plans for safety associates• Communicate safety team expectations and provide frequent feedback• Ensure execution of core competencies of an Amazon safety professional
Requirements
• 2+ years previous experience in Environment, Health & Safety or ME in Industrial Safety Engineering• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field• Experience in reputed private or government organizations• Experience managing multiple direct reports• Flexibility regarding shifts• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement• Sort Center or Manufacturing Safety experience preferred• Master's degree preferred• Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization• Government Certified Safety Professional preferred
