REPORTS TO: Director – IS
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement user interface components for Android and iOS applications using native tools and frameworks.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mock-ups into mobile applications that are visually appealing and easy to use.
Ensure cross-platform compatibility and performance across a variety of devices and screen sizes.
Optimize mobile applications for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining quality and responsiveness.
Apply knowledge of modern mobile UI design principles, patterns, and best practices in the development process.
Integrate with backend services to ensure a seamless, high-performance user experience.
Conduct usability testing and incorporate user feedback to enhance the application interface.
Stay abreast of the latest trends in mobile UI/UX design and development technologies.
Work within brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all mobile products.
Address and resolve any issues related to platform-specific inconsistencies.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience as a Mobile UI Developer or similar role with a portfolio of previous work.
Proficiency in native mobile development tools and languages, such as Swift for iOS and Kotlin/Java for Android.
Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and interface guidelines for both Android and iOS platforms.
Familiarity with responsive design and the ability to create applications that function well across device types.
Experience with mobile app development frameworks such as React Native or Flutter is a plus.
Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Up to date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in mobile development.
Experience with UI animation and motion design.
Understanding of accessibility principles and design for inclusivity.
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for mobile applications.
Knowledge of current web development languages (e.g., HTML5, CSS3) and frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is beneficial.
