Job description

You'll work in our Delhi office as part of our Travel Operations team to provide personalized support and consultation to travelers/EAs to make intelligent travel choices within the firm's travel program, focused on complex reservations and non-core travel.

You will build strong stakeholder relationships to provide advice and consultation to travelers/EAs on all aspects of McKinsey travel, including resolving complex service issues and researching and counseling stakeholders on best travel options (i.e. efficient, creative).

Leveraging deep, specialized expertise on travel-related topics, you will provide personalized support to travelers/EAs (whether booking travel or in specialized travel services). This includes taking necessary action to ensure compliance with firm global and relevant regional travel policy by offering appropriate advice and guidance on fares and outings. Additionally, you will support travelers when travel plans are disrupted such as through delay and cancellations and provides stakeholder solutions for services issues.

You will support the Travel Operations Manager in day-to-day administrative activities such as running department reports, processing refund, monitoring, and reporting on quality of team travel support. This includes monitoring reservation for accuracy, consistency, policy adherence and preferred rates. You will also create and updates traveler profiles to reflect travelers' preferences and streamline reservation process.

As a member of the Travel Operations team, you will stay current on industry trends, relevant regulatory changes, and new technology. You will also train team members on new processes, technology, and approaches to enhance the quality of travel support. Additionally, you will provide frequent informal/formal feedback to team members, including modelling exceptional work behavior, providing functional guidance to existing team members and identifying help and resources to support team members.

  • 5+ years of corporate travel experience with at least 2 years with McKinsey
  • University degree preferred
  • Strong MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access)
  • Customer-focused with the ability to work with and influence a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively manage shifting deadlines and priorities
