Hybrid Working
Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:
The QC team is responsible for operating the controls by performing evaluations of TM, PEP and High Risk customer reviews and cases which have been actioned by analysts.
QC Analysts must analyse Client Data, KYC, Transactional Analysis, Source of Wealth & Adverse Media, in order to independently assess whether the relevant Enhanced Due Diligence and Regulatory Policy requirements have been adhered to.
QC Analysts are cross skilled across multiple business units including RP&S, Business Banking, Corporate, Barclays International and Barclaycard. They must be able to accurately differentiate between the specific EDD and Policy requirements associated to each individual business unit.

What will you be doing?
  • Proactively work with colleagues in all related business functions to ensure successful and high-quality delivery of core activities and key shared objectives
  • To maintain high standards by checking that investigations are completed in line with Financial Crime Policies and Standards.
  • Contribute to a supportive and proactive working culture by sharing knowledge and expertise with other team members and providing training to colleagues when necessary.
  • Promote efficient and consistent application of processes alongside a culture of continuous improvement and sharing of best practices.
  • Assist in ensuring the outcomes from quality investigations led activity are embedded in the business and with other internal partners.


What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in an AML Financial Crime Operations and/or Quality role
  • Banking and Financial Crime experience
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the legislation that affects Barclays and our Clients (including the Data Protection Act, Companies Act, Insolvency Act, Financial Services Act, Money Laundering and confidentiality regulations)
  • Communication skills: must interact professionally with stakeholders at face-to-face meetings or via phone/email. Capacity to articulate ideas and issues in a clear and concise language.
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Knowledge of Barclays' AML, PEPS and Sanctions Policies
  • Knowledge of the roles and business activities carried out by Barclays Financial Crime as well as Barclays' other business functions with an understanding of how these relate to the AML Financial Crime Analyst role and business activities
  • Prior experience with using Barclays' computer systems (such as FullServe, Mantas, Edocs, QMS and Frauds3) would also be valuable
  • Have specialised knowledge of key elements of Ownership Structures – Trusts, Funds etc.
