The Red Hat Technical Training team in India is looking for a Technical Trainer to support our training and certification deliveries across India and South Asia. In this role, you will deliver training programs and certification exams to our customers and partners. You will also assess learning needs and create learning plans for customer teams. Partner instructors will depend on your guidance and support. As a Learning and Development Instructor, you’ll need to have excellent communication skills and experience in Red Hat’s technical training delivery.
What you will do: - Facilitate Red Hat Training classes
- Facilitate Red Hat’s certification exams - Guide discussions with customers to scope training needs
- Coordinate with the Consulting team for consulting engagements
- Assist the Training Services Sales team in sales initiatives to grow the training business
- Participate in internal projects and pilots
- 7+ years of industry experience with 3+ of those years in instruction
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification or the ability to pursue certification within 30 days of your start date; additional certifications are a plus
- Knowledge of and experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), automation, etc.
- Solid background in Linux or UNIX system administration and deployment
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization
- Exceptional course facilitation and management skills
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
- Team-oriented with initiative, positive attitude, and enthusiasm
- Demonstrated ability to work both on your own and as a member of a collaborative team
- The following are considered a plus:
- Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) or additional certifications toward higher RHCE levels, especially on Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat Ansible Automation
- Virtual training facilitation experience
