Technical Service Specialist

You will be working as Technical Service Specialist and will be part of Motion Business Area for Drive Products Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Technical Trainer and will be responsible to provide enterprise-level assistance to our customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware problems in VFD and helping our customers install the VFD in new applications. Also, should be taking the drive-in remote desk connections and to provide immediate support
  • For more complex problems, escalating to product engineering team and getting the solution and implementing in field drives
  • Asking customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem and support. Talking to CP/OEM engineers either via phone or email until the technical issue resolved
  • Referring the internal manuals and providing the accurate technical solution to customer. Ensuring all the issues are properly logged
  • Prioritizing and managing the open issues and resolving as per the target time. Recording customer interactions and technical problem resolutions. Listening to OEM/CP/Customer problems and answer calmly and professionally
  • Taking into consideration feedback given by the customer and implementing corrective action when needed as well as sharing own expertise in service development
  • Approaching towards customers and building sustainable customer relationships to ensure local client growth, satisfaction and retention together with sales. Communicating with Global Technical Support team and aligning with global technical support guidelines
  • Keeping in close contact with technical product management, project management, engineering, sales and other stakeholder groups that support implementation of training course development and delivery

Your background

  • BE/ B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics
  • Fresher or 1 to 3 years’ experience in Drive service
  • Experience as a Technical Support Engineer in AC drives is preferred
  • Electrical experience for drives is an advantage
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic drive technical issues
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
