Technical Project Manager

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will handle all the resources and coordination from a technical standpoint. You must set and achieve objectives, ensure both top quality and control of the project, handle client and vendor interaction, and act as the subject expert. Roles: Technical Project Coordinator (TPC) / Technical Project Manager (TPM) Area of Work: Big Data Engineering and Cloud Experience: 7 to 10 years Location: Jaipur/Noida/Gurugram/Pune/Mumbai/Hyderabad Job Responsibilities: • Project Management o To take end-to-end ownership of multiple projects/project tracks. To create, review, and maintain project management documentation and other related documentation including Project Status Tracker, Scope of Work document, Change Request Management (CR) document, Release Management Plan, Risk Mitigation Plan, Production Cutover Plan, Production Support Plan, etc... To lead i.e., participate and contribute to all the phases of a big data engineering project, right from Requirements Gathering to Production Support. To lead internal team meetings on requirements gathering, solution architecture, effort estimation, timelines preparation, manpower planning, and resource (software/hardware/licensing) planning. To lead external team meetings with partner teams and customer teams. To manage RIDA (Risks, Impediments, Dependencies, Assumptions) for projects by developing effective mitigation plans. Team Management To act as a Scrum Master, if required, and conduct SCRUM ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, and Sprint Retrospective. To conduct Scrum of Scrum meetings, in case of managing multiple projects/project tracks. To clearly define the roles and responsibilities of each team member. To train and mentor the team on their job responsibilities and SCRUM principles. To make the team accountable for their tasks and help them achieve them. To identify the requirements and develop a plan for Skill Development for all team members. To approve timesheets and leave plans of team members. Technical Leadership To lead i.e., participate and contribute to all technical discussions along with the project team, partner team, and customer team. To ensure technical issues/challenges faced by the team are resolved in time. To mentor the team on technology best practices and system-level critical thinking. Communication To be the Single Point of Contact for the customer. To periodically communicate project status to all the stakeholders (internal/external). To proactively communicate/escalate in case any blocker impacts the project delivery timelines. To build successful working relationships with partner team and customer team. Process Management and Improvement To create and document processes across all disciplines of software engineering and release management. To ensure the defined processes are judiciously followed by the team members. To identify gaps and continuously improve processes within the team. To encourage team members to contribute toward process improvement. To develop a culture of quality and efficiency within the team. Must have: Minimum 07 years of experience (hands-on as well as leadership) in big data engineering projects across multiple job functions like Requirements Analysis, Solutioning, Development and Testing, DevOps, Production Support, Presales, Release Management, and Project Management. Experience developing or managing cloud solutions using Azure or other cloud providers. Demonstrable knowledge of Big Data Engineering technologies including but not limited to Hadoop, Hive, Spark, NoSQL DBs, SQL, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT tools, BI Visualization tools, etc. Demonstrable knowledge of Cloud Services and Data Governance. Demonstrable knowledge of Project Management Tools and Practices. Strong communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong systems-level critical thinking skills. Strong collaboration and influencing skills. Willingness to travel. Good to have: Demonstrable knowledge of PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse Dedicated SQL Pool, Azure Databricks, Azure PowerBI, Machine Learning Models, and Cloud INS (Infrastructure, Network, and Security) services. PMP Certification / PgMP Certification / SAFe Certifications.
