Role: Technical Account Manager (TAM)

Location: Sec 62, Noida

Job Summary:

This position, based in our Noida, Sec 62 office, is the primary technical expert on Aeris’ automotive customers’ needs, environments and systems, and will act as the automotive customer’s advocate and ‘voice’ in working with other Aeris departments and teams. The TAM represents Aeris on-site at customer locations and is responsible for automotive program activities from automotive customer requirements gathering and analysis, through successful implementation in production and beyond. Technical responsibilities include solution and program scoping, problem identification, capture and documentation of customer business and functional requirements, development of other specifications, and planning and coordination of program activities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

A TAM must engage in discussions with customers during all phases of the sales process and subsequent program development and deployment. This includes business issues and requirements discussions with business owners and stakeholders, detailed technical discussions with customer technical staff, and may, on occasion, include discussions with and presentations to executives.

Specific activities include:

  • Gather and understand customer business requirements and processes, through on-site meetings and workshops and web-based conferences
  • Develop and maintain business and functional requirements specifications
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure that development meets functional and business requirements
  • Understand Aeris, customer and supplier project milestones and schedules, ensure alignment and coordination
  • Conduct/participate in regular technical status meetings, participate in governance meetings
  • Provide status information and identified risks up to management team (business and development)
  • Understand Aeris platform architecture, technology, and operational deployment tools and processes to provide expertise and support to customer and other external parties
  • Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
  • Provide technical expertise to support sales efforts
  • Document and communicate customer requirements to product management team, development team
  • Communicate customer requirements to product management team
  • Develop project status dashboards and reports.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

The TAM must act as a subject-matter expert on Connected Vehicle solutions in general and on Aeris’s technology, leading the customer in the design, development, and implementation of Aeris solutions.

In working with Aeris customers, the TAM will detect and identify opportunities and risks to the program. The TAM will be expected to collaborate closely with business development to address risks and increase sales.

Knowledge and Skills

Required:

  • Fundamental knowledge of Connected Vehicle and/or Internet of Things (IoT) systems and applications.
  • 8-10 years of industry experience working with customers in the gathering, analysis, development, and documentation of functional and/or business requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to discuss complex technology subjects with technical and non-technical people.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Excellent written communications skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with cloud solutions architectures.
  • Knowledge of PC- and web-based tools for capturing and tracking requirements and development of diagrams and documents describing business processes, service/solution flows and sequences, and the user experience.
  • Knowledge of cellular wireless technologies.

Education and/or Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering or computer science (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of five years supporting high-end consultative technical solutions, preferably in automotive, IoT, or communications.
