Job Summary


ETS Hardware Engineer will need to work independently on Hardware Design, Documentation, Engineering Software Tools like AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation, etc. for RTU/SCADA & Flow Computer based projects in coordination with Lead Engineer and his line Manager. The candidate will work on Control Panel Design for ControlWave series hybrid PLC/RTU, OpenEnterprise SCADA platform, newly acquired OSI Monarch Platform, Emerson’s next generation RTUs like FB3000 along with other flow Computers such as S600+, FB107 etc. to deliver technical requirements in line with defined engineering processes. The candidate will offer value added services to our customer (Best Engineering Practices, Offering Optimization in Engineering etc.)


In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


  • Analyze customer inputs and understand requirements such as Design Specifications, IO list, Instrument Index, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Network Architecture, Field Cable Analysis, Power Feeder drawings, HW loop typicals etc.
  • Review & Propose System Architecture
  • Raise Technical Queries
  • Preparation of Engineering BOM, Integration BOM. 
  • Conceptual knowledge for Power & Heat Calculation.
  • Hardware Engineering Design for RTU/PLC & SCADA Control Cabinets, Network, Server, System, Marshalling Cabinets. 
  • Exposure to prepare General Arrangement, Electrical & Communication Wiring, Analog/Digital IO Wiring, System Architecture, Grounding Arrangement for Control System.
  • Exposure to conduct FAT/SAT, Site Inspections, Site Surveys.
  • In-depth understanding on communication protocols like Modbus, Ethernet, RS-232/485, HART, Fiber, OPC, etc.
  • Exposure to Engineering Design Softwares like AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation.
  • Experience of work on Retrofit or Brownfield Projects. 
  • Must have outstanding ability to work with people at all levels and must be a team player.
  • Define Hardware Design Guidelines for Projects.
  • Selection of Third-Party Components such as Relays, Barriers, MCBs, Power Supply, Switches, FO Patch Panels
  • Report timely Project status and meet project delivery schedules.
  • Adhere to department quality process and guidelines.
  • Flexibility to travel for domestic as well as overseas assignments.

Quality Control & Assurance


  • Implementation of EEEC IMS processes/documentation as & when required throughout the project.
  • Adopts to WA quality requirements and Customer’s regulatory guidelines
  • Practices and promotes First time right approach.
  • Strictly follows GDP (Good Documentation Practices).

  • Perform other additional specific duties, when requested by the business. These will, typically, be strategic in nature but could potentially be anything that the post holder is suitably qualified and experienced to undertake. These duties may be assigned to the person under guidance of a supervisor.

For This Role, You Will Need:


Minimum of 4-8 years related end to end project execution, including site commissioning in Oil and Gas Production, Pipeline Transportation & Distribution or Terminals Domain.


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:


•           Must be a Bachelor Graduate in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication
