Support Engineer
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: A technical background (BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline/experience)5 years experienceStrong Unix base O/S experience or proven ability to pick up Linux quicklyAbility to do scripting (any one of Shell, Perl, Python, etc.)Strong debugging/troubleshooting skillsFamiliarity with programming languages Java or C or CExcellent verbal & written communication skillsStrong understanding of support - tickets, monitoring, processes, and metricsA passion towards problem-solvingStrong decision-making abilityMust be able to think proactively; excellent follow-through and attention to detail.Willing to work in 24x7 on-call support (on a rotation basis)Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications is a plus.
