The Supply Chain Services group part of Product Support & Logistics Division currently has a job opening for a ‘Parts Inventory Analyst’ position located in Bangalore, India facility.

Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) Team Overview :

The Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) being part of SCS group is responsible for seamless execution of critical processes for Caterpillar manufacturing facilities in the areas of New Product Introduction (NPI), Electronic Data Interface (EDI), shipping Label and Analytics solutions. Supply Chain Services team delivers value by initiating and participating in business-critical projects and solutions.

Parts Inventory Analyst (DART) - JOB PURPOSE :

This position is responsible to collaborate with buyers across verticals and resolve price variance between Purchase Order and Invoice (PCD) and Unlaunched Requisition (ULR) issues. This role is critical to ensure timely issuance of Supplier payments (PCD) and conversion of ULRs to Purchase Orders and enable seamless parts procurement.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsibilities of ‘DART – Parts Inventory Analyst’ may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop deep expertise on complete value chain of Unlaunched Requisitions and PCD

  • Follow-up with Category Buyers on fixing the root cause & launching the PO/PCD

  • Reversing debit notes requested from Accounts payable team.

  • Disposition of Single Definite & Expense Purchase orders requests for buyers and launching the PO

  • Perform effective collaboration with suppliers, training and on-board them on the EDI.

  • Escalating to Category Managers, Segment Managers on the No Response requisitions

  • Maintaining & Reviewing process level documents

  • Drive and implement process efficiency solution in the team analyzing different ideas.

POSITION IMPACTS :

Incumbent is responsible to ensure timely issuance of Supplier payments (PCD) and conversion of ULRs to purchase orders and enable seamless parts procurement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum 3/4- year college degree (prefer Mathematics, statistics or engineering)

  • Broad working knowledge of the Parts Distribution Network and Supply Chain Management

  • Project management experience and ability to use related tools.

  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse customer base in a global environment.

  • Effective oral and written communications skills required to collaborate with a wide variety of teams to achieve project deliverables.

  • Strong customer focus with the ability to work effectively with a diverse customer base in a global environment.

  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word)

  • Other applications (Power Bi, Power apps etc)

  • Willingness to work in US/UK/Australia timings.

  • Three to four years of job-related experience are required. 

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • SAS Technical/Functional knowledge & experience

  • Strong background using statistical analysis leveraging different technical tools to interpret results and act.

  • Self-starter and ability to work independently. 

  • Demonstrated strong initiative, ability to learn quickly and teamwork skills while implementation of projects.
