Title: Supplier Quality Specialist – I

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Specialist I to join our Ashland India Office business at our Hyderabad, IN location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Quality & Regulatory function. This position will report to Global Quality Control Senior Manager.
Location: Ashland India - Hyderabad office.
Work Timings: 10 AM – 7 PM (This position requires flexible work hours)
Shift: Day
  • Work with suppliers to resolve non-conformance and help implement CAPA plan
  • Review 3rd party product Certificate of Analysis and execute data entry for release
  • Facilitate product retesting for assessment of shelf life extension
  • Implement new product set-up in SAP and LIMS to support onboarding process
  • Coordinate appropriate action for Slow-Moving-Obsolete-Goods inventory
  • Provide customer support and communication on quality related inquires.
  • Create/update quality standards and processes related to Supplier Quality.
  • Lead Supplier Quality Risk Ranking assessments with Ashland plant QA support
  • Participate in customer audit of Ashland plants for Supplier Quality related inquiries.
  • Analyze process capability data for critical materials and take action as needed.
  • Conduct Supplier Quality audits for critical materials defined by Ashland plant QA
  • Initiate root cause investigations into any deviation from product specifications
  • Track quality KPIs and develop continuous improvement plans.
  • Participate in new product launch projects.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
  • Ability to effectively communicate and write in English is an absolute must.
  • Maximum 1-3 years in comprehensive professional experience in Quality Assurance discipline
  • Strong MS Excell and data analytical skills
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve systemic issues to eliminate non-value added work
  • Able to work around personal schedule to timely support product delivery and projects
  • Quick learner and ability to utilize knowledge gained to mitigate and solve problems
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of risk assessment, CAPA, and root cause analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biological Sciences, Pharmacy or related technical degree
Desired Skill Sets:
  • Experience with SAP and iLIMS or similar ERP system.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, ISO 9001, and supplier qualification process
  • Detailed oriented and excellent organizational/project management skills; proficiency in working with a variety of quality and ERP information systems and technologies.
  • Ability to make objective decisions based on team collaboration; able to work independently, yet a strong team player amongst cross-functional team environment
  • Experience in conducting quality audit and writing audit summary/report
  • In possession of professional certifications: Six Sigma, CQA, CQE, or equivalent
  • Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety
  • Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others.
