Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

The Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer ensures and improves the Supplier Quality in the assigned area of dedicated business (products and services).
Implements SQM requirements regarding preventive actions, technical specifications and qualification of suppliers.
Acts as SQM contact in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (B.Tech. / B.E.).
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in quality engineering.
• Six Sigma certification and Lean manufacturing knowledge would be advantageous.

Responsibilities: As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of products and services from our suppliers. Your responsibilities include:

Risk Minimization and Quality Methods:

• Apply preventive quality methods to minimize risks.
• Design, maintain, and improve specific quality requirements, specifications, and concepts based on supplier categorization.

Supplier Qualification and Approval:

• Qualify and approve suppliers in collaboration with the purchasing department.
• Coordinate product/service qualifications and approvals based on specific requirements/specifications (Ready to order).

Technical Specifications and Agreements:

• Collaborate in the creation of technical specifications.
• Create and negotiate Quality Assurance agreements and monitor their implementation in supplier processes.

Supplier Audits and Performance:

• Plan and execute supplier audits, including follow-up on audit measures.
• Drive supplier performance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate in supplier development programs.

Complaints Management and Problem Solving:

• Implement complaints management to detect and analyze non-conformances.
• Communicate with suppliers to address issues and support sustainable problem-solving.

Standardized Supplier Qualification Process:

• Support the implementation of a standardized supplier qualification process according to corporate guidelines (Ready for business).

Quality Control Tools:

• Demonstrate familiarity with the 7 quality control tools.
