Seeking an attention to detail self-starter to assist the Head of Sales Practices Compliance to support SSGA’s U.S. sales practices compliance program. Strong communication skills, written and verbal, as well as analytical skills and intellectual curiosity are critical for your success. One to three years of experience in financial services preferred, but other audit, compliance, risk management or legal experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree required.

What you will be responsible for
As the Sales Practices Compliance Senior Associate you will:
- Assist in supporting the SSGA Sales Practices compliance program, including reviewing firm advertising and sales literature, developing and communicating firm policies around social media usage, electronic communications and mobile device usage, working on other sales-related compliance projects.
- Serve as a resource for the SSGA business by keeping up to date with firm and industry regulations, guidelines and trends. Assist in the development and deployment of guidance materials as well as both online and in-person trainings.
- Collaborate with the global Compliance and business teams to evaluate current processes, identify areas for improvement, and suggest solutions.
- Assist with regulatory reporting and preparation of materials for internal and external audits and examinations.
- Maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders. Provide business colleagues with creative solutions to complex issues.
- Help ensure that firm record keeping applications and controls remain robust and adequately meet regulatory requirements.
- Perform trend analysis of business team work product to identify areas of focus in terms of training and education.
- Opportunity to gain exposure to other concepts pertaining to asset management compliance programs.
