Sr. Validation and Certification Engineer – Digital Buildings

We are seeking a skilled Validation and Certification Leader with expertise in IoT and Cloud-basedsystems tailored for small and medium commercial buildings. As a key member of our team, you willplay a pivotal role in ensuring the Validation and Certification of our innovative solutions, contributing totheir reliability, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Validation Strategy:- Develop and execute a robust validation strategy for IoT and Cloud-based systems catering to smalland medium commercial buildings.- Define and implement validation processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatoryrequirements.2. Certification Planning and Execution:- Lead the planning and execution of certification efforts, collaborating with regulatory bodies andindustry organizations.- Ensure compliance with relevant certifications and standards for commercial building solutions.3. Cross-functional Collaboration:- Collaborate closely with product managers, design engineers, and architects to understand systemrequirements and design effective Validation and Certification approaches.- Work with development teams to address validation findings and ensure compliance throughout theproduct lifecycle.4. IoT and Cloud Expertise:- Apply specialized knowledge in IoT and Cloud technologies to validate end-to-end systemfunctionality, security, and performance.- Keep abreast of industry trends and evolving certification requirements in the Edge, IoT and Clouddomains.5. Quality Assurance:- Implement and enforce quality practices to ensure that validated solutions meet the higheststandards.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Validation and Certification processes.6. Documentation and Reporting:- Generate comprehensive reports documenting Validation and Certification processes, outcomes, andcompliance status.- Maintain detailed documentation to support certification audits and inquiries.7. Regulatory Compliance:- Stay informed about regulatory changes and updates relevant to commercial building products.General- Ensure proactive compliance with emerging standards and regulations.

1. Education:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a relatedtechnical field.2. Experience:- Proven experience in a leadership role focused on Validation and Certification, particularly in the IoTand Cloud space.- Background in developing solutions for small and medium commercial buildings is highly desirable.3. Technical Skills:- Strong understanding of IoT technologies, Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and relevant protocols.- Familiarity with certification processes and requirements for commercial building solutions / controlsystems4. Leadership Abilities:- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead a Validation and Certification teameffectively.- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external certification bodies.5.
