SalaryFundamental Job Duties
- Own the delivery of monthly closing and accounting tasks including (but not limited to) managing the PO and payable process, intercompany accounting and settlements, and monthly financial reporting through SAP Group Reporting.
- Oversee accounting functions, partnering with teams from company affiliates and global business services to ensure timely and accurate accounting, covering all areas including (but not limited to) general accounting, intercompany, fixed assets, and AP.
- Assist the GTC Controller with critical accounting functions including (but not limited to) the monthly closing process, reporting, completion of the annual statutory audit.
- Own the preparation of key monthly and quarterly reviews as assigned by the GTC Controller. Appropriately address opportunities identified during reviews including (but not limited to) identification, documentation and resolution of accounting or financial control related issues.
- Provide guidance and support to region affiliate during the monthly close process. Monitor close progress and partner with area leaders to help ensure a timely and accurate close.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis, reconciliations and reporting.
- Review unique and non-recurring transactions for US GAAP compliance.
- Coordinate between global business services teams, corporate and local finance support teams to support controllership-related and other projects.
- Help implement new accounting standards and other transformative finance projects, such as system implementations.
- Operate as a key contact for auditors, bankers, lawyers, and other internal/external professionals as assigned.
- Assist with compiling and review of internal and external reporting schedules.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Drive integration of accounting with acquired entities, provide support to help acquired entities succeed.
Requirements
University degree in Finance/Accounting 4-5 years relevant working experience at an international organization. Regional, and shared service center experiences a plus. Proficient in MS Office Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly independent with good time management skills. Thrives in a fast-paced environment; ability to effectively manage competing priorities. Strong understanding and use of the English language. Experience in working with a large ERP. Experience with SAP & Group Reporting a plus.
