Overview:

Frost & Sullivan’s Mobility Advisory Practice is seeking to appoint a Sr. Director of Consulting in India. The Mobility division of Frost & Sullivan (www.frost.com/mobility.com) is one of the organisation's largest and fastest-growing Practice Areas.

The role is to lead the company’s Mobility Advisory Practise in India. As a true Frost & Sullivan Ambassador in the market, the person will be the central driver of customer engagement and responsible for the overall business performance (targets, timeliness, quality and team management for the practice area). You will be expected to support the delivery of strategic growth advisory projects for major clients in the mobility (automotive) sector. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and evolve the strategic plan for the Indian Mobility Advisory practice.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the related Mobility (automotive) sector.
  • Deliver consulting and services engagements, achieving high levels of client satisfaction and value, resulting in repeat business.
  • Working closely with the Regional Commercial Leadership and Global Advisory Leader, to ensure a globally consistent vision.
  • Take ownership of and manage the overall business performance.
  • Working with the commercial and advisory teams to ensure that the proposition is marketed effectively, including sales planning, marketing strategy, development and go-to-market of new solutions and thought leadership development.
  • Maintain a high level of customer interaction, developing your personal business pipeline and delivering, where appropriate, high visibility consulting and advisory opportunities across Indian Mobility segments.
  • Provide client organisations with industry-specific, business advisory expertise whilst sharing knowledge and best practices across the Frost & Sullivan business.
  • Attending customer conferences and workshops and developing an industry thought leader reputation.
  • Work with the leadership team in developing solutions for our regional clients.
  • Optimize the utilisation and productivity of the consulting personnel within the Practice Area in coordination with the Regional Leader and Global Leader.

People Management and Leadership

  • Motivate, drive, and inspire the team to achieve consistent revenue delivery and project fulfilment in line with annual business objectives.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and direct leadership to the respective teams.
  • Undertake performance reviews and annual appraisals.
  • Establish individual consulting team targets and KPIs in line with achieving Frost & Sullivan’s business/revenue objectives.
  • Maintaining and developing operational processes to maximise the team's efficiency and ensure client value.

New Business Development and Account Management

  • Develop sales vision and strategy in collaboration with the Commercial, Global and regional leadership.
  • Take charge of business pipeline generation for Mobility Advisory Practice in India.
  • Meet weekly with the sales/commercial leadership to review the sales pipeline and performance against the annual plan.
  • Develop new initiatives and work with the sales and product management on the go-to-market strategy.
  • Support sales/commercial team very hands-on, especially leveraging experience in deal closures as a thought leader and senior consultant to take early-stage opportunities to close.
  • Build strong personal relationships in key accounts and deliver on business goals as mandated for the year.
  • Develop a marketing strategy in collaboration with the sales leadership and marketing team.

Qualifications:


We’re looking for candidates who -

Will be a professional and committed business consultant with a thorough understanding of Consulting methodologies. Proven success with direct client interaction, business development, consulting project fulfilment and pro-active, methodical and innovative working practice is essential, with a proven ability to deliver accurate results within a fast paced, client focused environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering is preferred; other engineering degrees are considered.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional work experience in Automotive or related fields is required.
  • Strong expertise and understanding of the automotive sector.
  • Ability to think creatively and create out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead projects and teams.
  • Demonstrated capability to facilitate effective, cross-functional client meetings.
  • Demonstrated capability to establish credible relationships with mid-& C- level client managers.
  • Education, training or certification in strategy, project management, performance improvement, and change management are advantages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to create professional and impactful presentations /documents as client deliverables.
  • High energy, commitment, and passion for Mega Trends like Sustainability, Decarbonization, Electric Vehicle, Connected Cars, Autonomous Driving, and Software-driven vehicles.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal) is required.
  • Open to travel to both domestic and internal sites for work.
