We use a hybrid model: Our engineers are based in India, while our UX, UI, strategy, and lead management are in the US. We are not an
outsourcing agency: having both regular meetings and a local presence is important to us, just as it is to our clients.
Whom we are looking for:
Strong DevOpsEngineer Profile
Mandatory (Experience 1) - 5+ years experience in DevOps engineering
Mandatory (Experience 2) - 5 YOE in AWS, Jenkins and Docker
Mandatory (Experience 3) - Experience in Git and Linux/Unix administration
Mandatory (Experience 4) - Experience in any scripting language (Python, Perl,Ruby, Bash,Shell, Go / Golang etc)
Highly pref: Experience in Terraform, Kubernetes, Bitrise, Cloudformation, Bash
Highly pref (Education) - Bachelor's degree (Preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, related discipline or equivalent experience required
Screening Requirements:
How many years of experience do you have working on infrastructure / DevOps Engineering?
Rate yourself based on your proficiency of working on Linux / Unix Administration
Rate yourself based on your experience in AWS.
Do you have experience with AWS products like ELB, EC2, S3, Cloud Watch, SES etc. ?
Do you have experience with CI servers such as Jenkins, Travis or similar types?
Rate yourself based on your proficiency with SQL and NoSQL.
Do you have a working understanding of code and script ( Python, Perl and / or Ruby,Node.js)?
Do you have experience with automation / configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Salt stack or an equivalent?
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree (Preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, related discipline or equivalent experience required.
5-8 years of work experience, 5+ years focused on infrastructure/DevOps engineering
AWS certification for DevOps Engineer Professionals or Solutions Architect Professionals is added advantage.
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration is a must.
Must have experience in AWS products like ELB, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, Cloud Watch, CloudFront, SES, Route53 etc.
Must have experience with at least one of scripting languages like (Python, Perl and/or Ruby, Bash and/or Shell).
Must have experience in one of the infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or AWS Cloudformation.
Must have experience in Jenkins with different pipeline types & declarative or scripted pipelines.
Must have experience with Docker.
Experience in Kubernetes is an added advantage. Have migrated a legacy system to Kubernetes.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, and so on
Knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP
Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks
Knowledge of Agile Development processes
Strong communication with an excellent ability to work in a team environment
Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
System and network security best practices
Experience in modern distributed solution architecture
