Job Purpose
Performing selections of components, Symbol creation, Footprint creation and developing Schematics and PCB design files for different parts of the system, such as: linear or switching power supplies, digital low and high current outputs, analog and digital inputs, communication interfaces, microcontroller and processor and control logic, onboard diagnostics, logging memory, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform circuit simulation utilizing software like PSIM, MATLAB, and LTSPICE etc.
- Familiar in the design of components which must be in compliance with automotive industry standards, EMC/EMI, ESD standards and testing, vibrations, environmental, and various other requirements
- Good experience in testing equipment handling like DSO, Power analyser Etc..,
- Coordinate fabrication of PCB board
- Define & perform BMS PCBA development tests to ensure proper functionality.
- Cross functional team Coordination
- Support to production and assembly during the production of prototypes
- Work with other groups like Charger, Vehicle control unit from other departments to understand the final application.
Work Experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical & electronical Engineering or relevant field of study.
Experience
2-5 years’ of demonstrated successful experience in Battery Management system design and testing.
- Professional experience with the design, analysis, and/or testing of battery systems including modules, packs, and battery Management Systems.
- Academic/professional experience with some or all of the following:
- Professional experience in Altium, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in working with embedded systems/microcontrollers/microprocessors / DSPs
- Modeling of battery performance, life, and/or safety
- Thermal design of battery systems for passive, forced air, and/or natural cooling
- Electrical design of cell, module, and pack level interconnections
- Safety design of battery systems
