Job Title: Wellness Head
Function: Spa
Location: Lonavala

Primary Purpose
To head the Spa operations, team management, and training to deliver an excellent Guest experience. To upsell Spa & Salon treatment by meeting guests to achieve revenue targets.

Major skills and accountabilities of position (4-6 major accountabilities)

1. Exceptional Upselling, negotiation and relationship building skills
2. Base promotional and staffing decisions on service revenue per minute and per hour.
3. Current knowledge of treatments, and ensure all treatments comply with current legislation and company standards

Duties and Responsibilities


1. Manage and carry out procedures, have current knowledge of treatments, and ensure all treatments comply with current legislation and company standards.
2. Responsible for the Training of Spa Therapists and Spa Receptionist according to their Training Need.
3. Responsible in handling Spa operations & sales
4. Responsible for taking monthly inventories and report submission.
5. Responsible for generating revenue report on daily and monthly basis.

6. Responsible for upselling the Spa & Salon treatment by meeting guests during check-in/ breakfast.
7. Responsible for upselling spa treatments from Spa Desk during busy operations
8. Coordinating with Spa Sales Manager for area allocation for upselling.
9. Responsible for achieving sales targets as assigned on monthly basis.
10. Coordinate and design different strategies and programs to boost spa sales.
11. Project and maintain acceptable payroll commitments.
12. Use financial plans for spotting trends, measuring productivity and monitoring progress.
13. Implement opportunities for managing operational costs and boosting the bottom line.
14. Develop procedures for accurate inventory control and monitoring.
15. Implement full spa product and service purchasing standards and ensure compliance.
16. Administer staff and client scheduling for maximum revenue generation and profitability.
17. Develop Spa’s Marketing Strategy and ensure a consistent image is being portrayed.
18. Develop and maintain gracious and efficient front desk procedures.
19. Maintain and update all necessary internal and external signage.
20. Create ongoing in-house promotions and activities to stimulate sales, staff and customers.
21. Guide business decisions by staying on top of Spa industry trends.
22. Consistently develop and grow retail sales through training, tools and monitoring.
23. Ensure the Spa is always staged for maximum buyer impact.
24. Anticipate, identify and ensure customer needs are being met in the best possible way.
25. Monitor customer satisfaction with surveys, focus groups and comment cards.
26. Develop and deliver credible, competitive, value-plus service to the customer.
27. Uphold gracious front desk procedures in the booking and handling of customers.
28. Maintain fresh, effective programs to consistently retain and grow customer base.
29. Develop and maintain compensation guidelines for customer complaint handling.
30. Implement ongoing skills training to ensure service standards are being upheld. .
31. Perform staff evaluation reports with proposed action plans.
32. Effectively administer and monitor staff scheduling procedure.
33. Demonstrate an exceptional level of professionalism for the staff to emulate.
34. Create a motivating environment of sincerity, warmth and fun for staff and guests.
35. Maintain an up to date version of the Spa procedure manual and ensure compliance.
36. Hold regular staff meetings to keep staff up to date on all aspects of the Spa’s operation.
37. Ensure equipment is maintained in good working order.

Experience and qualifications required for the job

Should be a Graduate or relevant diploma with experience of minimum 7-8 years in good hotel brands.
