Job Title: Solution Architect

70714-1 - SA EDM (Data lake, data mart-warehouse, Databases, Admin, SQL etc. - Database SQL and ETL experience must)
• Provides application design and support services to applications teams. Creates/Defines solution to address a business problem statement and/or achieve targeted business outcomes by putting together end to end solution consisting of various SBB (Solution building block)s in a well integrated,secure manner with a required quality of service.
• Enforces best practices and principles of architecture while complying with the firm's architecture policies and procedures.
• Designs solutions stable and flexible, high-performance solutions aligned with architecture principles.
• Engages in various design and execution activities with other stakeholders such as Enterprise Architecture and other teams
• Identifies organization-wide initiatives and makes recommendations for the use of technology.
• Works closely with senior management to educate and to articulate resource requirements necessary to promote architecture goals. Also works closely with Enterprise Architects to ensure adherence to best practices, standards, patterns, policies and alignment to Future State Arachitecture and strategy.
• Develops required architecture views for the solution Business, Domain, Data, Application,Infrastructure/Deployment, Integration, Security and cross cutting concerns such as DevOps
• Works closely and co ordinates with Business SMEs, IT Development team, Quality assurance team and operations team in order to define, shape and rollout the solution following SDLC methods
• Works closely with Development team to develop and review/approve low level design for the components in the solution. Owns any business/technical issues and contributes towards resolving them
• Involved in governance and other design activities.
• Contributes to the achievement of team objectives
Required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in software development with 4+ years of experience in a senior role responsible for design/architecture
• A passion for continuous improvement and learning
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at various levels
Desirable
• Experience with .Net, (.Net Core 3+/.Net 6) or Java (Spring Boot, J2EE), Microservices, APIs, Middleware (Kafka), Cloud (Azure)
• Experience with modern Test-First approaches (ATDD, TDD)
• Sound knowledge of Distributed Systems Design
• Experience of Containerised Architectures (Kubernetes)
• Ability to develop working proof of concepts to help communicate a concept
• Knowledge of Architecture Methodologies/Frameworks
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry
