Job description

About the Project:

Young Adults for Accessible, Respectful, and Inclusive Reproductive Health Initiatives (YAARI) will support Country’s FP2030 vision through development and implementation of Policies, guidelines and protocols that promote and lead to establishing Quality, gender-sensitive and equitable, provision for SRH/FP services.

The project will undertake supply-side interventions as well as demand generation activities for strengthening SRH/FP service provision through innovative program models that empower health care providers, beneficiaries, especially the Youth/Adolescents to increasingly access SRH/FP services in select districts of five states namely Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Haryana

YAARI will encourage volunteerism, inclusion, informed choice and accountability. It will engage with diverse stakeholders from public and private sectors and civil society at the National and state levels and bolster local community governance platforms to successfully address the emerging SRH/FP priorities.

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute a strategic Social Media campaign to initiate conversations around SRH/FP especially tailored for empowering Youth/Adolescents.
  • Develop a comprehensive communication plan to effectively convey the unique features and benefits of the National/Regional SRH/FP Learning Exchange Platform to the target audience.
  • Develop strategies to foster engagement within peer support communities, encouraging users to initiate and participate in conversations around SRH/FP topics.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to promote seamless linkage with e-commerce platforms, emphasizing direct access to FP products based on recommendations from consultations.
  • Coordinate the creation of informative advertisements about SRH/FP needs for young adults, seeking support for playing these ads in multiplexes.
  • Work closely with influencers and Social Media personalities to amplify the reach and impact of the Social Media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with government bodies to seek support for advertising campaigns in public & private spaces.
  • Work closely with the project team to understand the key components of the program, including the AI-powered chatbot, counselling tools, peer support communities, tele-consultation models, and e-commerce integration.
  • Monitor and respond to user interactions on Social Media platforms, addressing inquiries and providing relevant information.
  • Conduct workshops or training sessions to transfer knowledge and skills gained during the implementation to other team members or stakeholders.
  • Support in documentation of advocacy initiatives and achievement of the project at national, state and district level.
  • Process documentation - document project experiences, lessons learned, and any new knowledge gained during the implementation process.
  • Advise on locally generated and localized content creation, including identifying and elevate stories of success to integrate into Communications-wide storytelling effort.
  • Establish a central repository for storing documents, reports, and other knowledge artifacts related to the activity, dissemination or stakeholder workshop.
  • Support production of technical updates, newsletters and other materials.
  • Be the custodian of all the reports and studies for reference and sharing at decision making forum Planning, executing and documenting events and meetings as part of the project.
  • Act as a conduit between IPE Corporate Communications team and project Communications team on digital and campaign management.
  • Undertake any other work assigned by direct supervisor from time to time.

Qualification & Skills Required:

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, development studies or related field
  • 8-10 Years Experience of working at the National level or in multiple states
  • Proven experience in Social Media management and Communications, centered on Youth/Adolescents, with a focus on behavior change campaigns
  • Strong understanding of socio-cultural dynamics and sensitivity to SRH/FP issues
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills both in Hindi and English
  • Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a complex team effort.
