About the role

Shift Officer is responsible for managing the shift operation independently, with managing the other Edible oil packing section and its immediate process with closely coordinating with people & superior with targeted output.

Job Description

  • Makes filling station tours, reviews shift reports, collects and handles improvement ideas and promotes an innovative environment
  • Monitors operating supplies; ensures availability of consumable supplies providing communications as necessary to ensure the procurement of necessary supplies to maintain safe and efficient operations.
  • Communicates with other departments (i.e. forwarding, commercial, logistics).
  • Improving work processes and operating efficiencies; monitors changes in industry; stays current with changes
  • Minimize downtimes EDT & SDT - increase manpower and plant utilization
  • Ensures work is performed according to procedures and standards
  • Manages risk/loss potential to personnel, equipment, and plant operations (production).Organizes proper training on job tasks and safe operation of equipment
  • Responsible for monthly stock reconciliation, calculation of yields of various packing process and help accounts in arriving at the consumption and production figures
  • Ensure Cost /budget
  • Lead with Safety and quality

Qualification
  • Diploma in packaging / Graduate / ITI
  • 5-6 years of experience in packaging process preferably in Edible Oil Business.
  • Exposure to chilling systems and Automation. Well versed in ISO/HACCP/GMP/OSHAS/EHS activities.
