Role Description: We are looking for a technically competent and experienced Shift In-Charge to manage and supervise our team of Technicians, Engineers and maintenance experts working in the Aluminium / Automobile sector. The Shift In-Charge will play a crucial role in ensuring maintenance efficiency, safety, and adherence to KPIs with regards to vehicle availability, continuous improvement, 5S and Safety norms. Our operations involve the use of various heavy equipment including ATV, LTV, LTTV, ALF3, FCV, FTV and other Technological vehicles. We are committed to excellence and seek a skilled Shift In-Charge to oversee our equipment operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Shift Handling: Coordinate and oversee breakdown maintenance and planned maintenance activities according to the established schedule. Ensure that vehicles are available for operations as per the set targets during the shift.
2. 5S Performance: Maintain high standards of 5S, housekeeping and cleanliness on the shop floor throughout the shift. Ensure a smooth handover to the next shift, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
3. Process Improvement: Facilitate effective communication during the shift to address any operational issues or improvements. Ensure timely submission of maintenance related data, job done reports, and share major area photos at the end of each shift.
4. Safety Matrix: Manage the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of the team to ensure compliance with safety standards. Implement and oversee the permit system, Toolbox Talks (TBT), and address any negative notices or incidents promptly. Also to ensure the job will be carried out as per SOP, rules & regulations decided by safety team.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records including logbooks and vehicle maintenance checklists. Create and close SAP notifications as required for maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and timely reporting of incidents. Also to involve in RCA other AO modules.
6. Vehicle Ownership: Monitor and ensure the health and maintenance of assigned vehicles to optimize performance and safety.
Requirements:
- Candidate should be from the Automobile sector with BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engg. having minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience in the relevant field.
- Proven experience in operating heavy equipment, preferably within the aluminium sector.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, safety protocols, and process improvements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively manage priorities and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar software for documentation and reporting.
Salary Range: Up to Rs. 40,000/- per month (maximum).
