Job description

*Job Title: Servicing - Claims Handler**
*Position Summary:**
The Servicing - Claims Handler is responsible for providing claims services to a large or complex Client/Carrier portfolio with Non-Proportional, Facultative placements. The role involves managing post-placement claims activities and ensuring the delivery of an appropriate level of service to assigned clients within the Mumbai office. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance with the ability to join immediately or within one month.
*Primary Responsibilities:**
*Client Relationship Management:**
- Analyze technical claims documentation/bordereaux received from assigned clients, ensuring compliance with contractual conditions.
- Efficiently handle client queries related to accounts, proactively seeking innovative solutions for advocates/clients when necessary.
- Check and process claims bordereaux for assigned clients, performing Single Point of Entry (SPOE. checks for Junior Claims Handlers.
- Act as the claims point of contact for clients, brokers, local overseas offices, underwriters, and management for assigned accounts.
- Manage and resolve complex queries from clients, coverholders, underwriters, and third parties.
- Receive and manage cash call instructions from assigned clients in a timely fashion, coordinating with the market.
- Engage with Bureau markets/claims adjusters for the prompt resolution of claims queries.
- Work closely with the broking team, keeping them informed of issues and escalating developing situations as necessary.
- Understand and monitor contract or program experience for assigned clients, identifying anomalies and escalating concerns to Service Managers and/or Account Executives.
- Monitor unpaid items and the status of collections, providing regular updates and discussions with clients, escalating problems to management when necessary.
- Adhere to standard internal processes, policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, industry regulations, organizational policies, and Willis Re best practices and professional codes.
- Coordinate regular engagements to ensure client satisfaction and gain an understanding of assigned clients\" business and operating environment.
- Participate in technical forums and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.
- Undertake travel as required to visit assigned clients, reinsurers, and/or other Willis offices (London/Overseas offices), attending relevant meetings and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
- Possess technical knowledge of (Re) Insurance business and all servicing functions essential to clients.
- Create and conduct training plans for Junior Claims Handlers and Trainees.
*Relationship Management:**
- Ensure ongoing, effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work proactively with peer groups and team members, sharing knowledge to achieve the best results for clients.
- Collaborate with the Client Service Manager to motivate and develop skills and competencies in line with Willis HR policies and procedures.
- Address team skills and knowledge gaps with appropriate training to meet business requirements, providing input to performance reviews and objective setting,
