Hybrid Working

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. Introduction
The role is as a Senior Test Manager within the Smart Investor Sub Pod Team working in a primarily agile environment.
The role holder will be responsible for working with Product Owners, Developers, Testers and other parties to deliver the technical implementations to fulfil the Smart Investor Product Vision.
The role holder will be joining a high performing team in the Wealth Tech business areas. The successful candidate should have agile change implementation experience, be able to work closely with business product owners, partners in Infrastructure and with Third Party vendors.
What will you be doing
. Manage the immediate direct reports and subgroups.
. Able to translate the sub pod vision, strategies/ tactical objectives and establishes goals/objectives for teams and also suggest recommendations to upper management.
. Able to define key metrics to communicate status on testing, code quality, and process. Able to interpret metrics and make recommendations based on data.
. Organization development - Recruit, hire a good mixture of expertise within the team, retain high performing talent and focus on Individual development Provides all the necessary coaching and mentoring for ICs and managers
. Foster the culture of customer focus within the organization. Drive the team to focus on Customer. Build relationships between development, customer, product Managers and other key internal teams and foster culture of customer focus within the organization.
What we're looking for:
. The candidate must be highly software engineer with the following knowledge of:
o Must be experienced in software Testing methodology and software maintenance practices.
o Must demonstrate effective communication with management, peers, and subordinates, both verbally and in writing.
o Strong teaming, problem solving, and communications skills will be required.
o Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes and tools.
o Exposure on working and guiding in a team environment on testing projects.
o Rich technology experience and good exposure to latest advancements in Testing.
o Strong organizational, people management, project management and customer interaction skills Degree with Computer Science background or equivalent and relevant experience in confirming the accountabilities listed.
o Participate in tasks at org level like training/social activities to promote BTS/Barclays culture.
o Location strategy: As a Senior Test Manager, ensure that both you and your Test Managers Leverage time zones and locations to optimize allocation of work whilst being aware of associated costs and actively promote utilization of time zones and global locations.
Skills that will help you in the role:
. Graduate with technical background
. PMP and ISTQB/QAI certification will be an advantage.
. Domain/Testing/Technical certification will be an advantage.
