Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to oversee various railway siding projects throughout India. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional knowledge of earthwork, major and minor bridges, as well as laying and linking of railway track works. They should have a strong academic record, excellent computer proficiency, and technical expertise in railway infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple railway siding projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee all phases of project execution, from initial planning and design to construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery and resolve any technical issues or challenges.
- Monitor project progress and performance, conducting regular site visits and inspections to assess work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to specifications.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, progress reports, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, providing updates on project status, milestones, and any deviations from plans.
- Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays, proactively identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among project team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; advanced degree or professional certification in project management is preferred.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in project management, with a focus on railway infrastructure projects, including earthwork, bridges, and track works.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of railway engineering principles, standards, and practices.
- Excellent academic record with a demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and driving successful project outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
