About you and this role

Dow is looking for Senior Process Engineers to be in Chennai, India

As a Process Engineering you provide support for green & brown field projects for inherent safe design complying to international standards such as API/ASME/TEMA/LPP/LOPA etc. understand the plant operational requirement and address design issues ensuring safe reliable operation.

Exposure to Process Engineering tools such as Aspen plus, hydraulic tools, HTRI, relief design tool etc. Able to coordinate with various stakeholders for smooth Engineering completion and RTO.
 

And also provide a technical resource to project teams and/or provides expertise in specific fields, tools or theory. Provide solutions which add value through improvements in work process, unit operations, operating condition and/or process technology. Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline.

Responsibilities

• Smooth execution of Project in Front end loading and support detail design by applying Dow Global Project Methodology (GPM) and Process Engineering Work Process Discipline.
• Ensures that the process design is safe, meets DOW LPP’s and other EH&S requirements.
• Ensures that the project scope is well defined and meets the business needs in a cost-effective manner.
• Provides input to project schedule and plans, then monitors progress against the plans.
• Responsible for quality Process Engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, PFD, equipment sizing and other specification.
• Responsible for managing young Process Engineers, coordination with detail design team and business technology center.
• Able to coach/mentor the PEER Process Engineers. Ensures process design deliverables meet the needs of the project including functioning as intended, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Preferred experience of 6 to 10 years from the Petrochemical Manufacturing / Process Design experience in Engineering organizations.

Preferred Skills

• Candidate with good communication skill and work experience with global team
