As part of our strategic partnership with one of the biggest financial institutions in the World, we are hiring various IT specialists, who will become part of their IT Service Center . The bank is an international organization dedicated to providing financing, advice, and research to developing nations to aid their economic advancement. The bank predominantly acts as an organization that attempts to fight poverty by offering developmental assistance to middle- and low-income countries. Our client is a provider of financial and technical assistance to individual countries around the globe. The bank considers itself a unique financial institution that sets up partnerships to reduce poverty and support economic development.

Responsibilities

• Strong and in-depth experience with relational, dimensional, multi-dimensional and OLAP techniques & technology
• Strong experience with interfaces such as TOAD, SQL Developer and DBeaver
• Other responsibilities would include query analysis & optimization and maintain the data models for the data warehouse.
• Support data requests from business users through data analysis and/or by developing ad-hoc queries.
• Troubleshoot performance related issues.
• Support system and user acceptance testing activities, including issue resolution.
• Proven ability to serve as a senior developer responsible for designing and delivering solutions that meets complex business needs.
• Actively participate in design and analysis sessions to ensure sound team decision-making.
• Complete technical documentation to ensure system is fully documented.
• Share best practices and lessons learnt from past implementation efforts.
• Ability to work with Business and Subject matter experts and independently deliver the deliverables.
• Coordinate day-to-day communication between team in Chennai and HQ

SQL Query Developer
The SQL query developer is responsible for developing, enhancing and finetuning SQL queries based on business requirement.
The selected candidate will work as part of the development and support team, and report to the project manager and technical lead.
Essential Job Functions & Required Skills:

• 6 + years of experience in Oracle development environment with following core skill sets.
• Experience in designing and developing the SQL queries for a given business requirement.
• Strong knowledge of SQL to analyze data and asses the generated SQL query scripts from SAP Business Objects reports.
• Demonstrate a good command of data modeling concepts and methodologies (Kimball) used in a data warehousing environment.
• Strong experience in development of Data Warehouse and Operational Data Store
• Experience with data storage and retrieval
• Experience in SQL analysis and query optimization
• Experience with Job Scheduling
• Experience with Shell Scripting
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Very good interpersonal communication and written skills, with the ability to work in challenging environment.

Desired Skills/Abilities (not mandatory but a plus)

• Oracle Certification
• Experience in developing reports/dashboards using SAP Business Objects and/or other BI/Visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau.
• Exposure to Data Services Technology/tools such as Composite
• Experience in maintaining data models using Erwin
• Familiarity in Database administration activities - space management; managing schema objects - Indexes, Materialized views, partitions; Database Maintenance - Optimizer stats, rebuilding indexes, partition maintenance, data purging, table analysis; Data loading - using SQL loader.
• Familiarity in Azure cloud platform
