Job Description
As a Senior Interior Designer at Deepa Bajaj Design Studio, you will be responsible for leading the design process, collaborating with clients, and overseeing design projects from concept to completion. You will work in a dynamic and creative environment, ensuring that each project showcases innovative design concepts, practical functionality, and aesthetic beauty.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients. understanding their needs, preferences, and vision for the project. Effectively communicate design concepts and progress throughout the project.
2. Project Leadership: Lead a team of designers and project associates, guiding them in creating cohesive design concepts, plans, and deliverables.
3. Team Management: Manage and mentor junior designers and support staff, providing guidance and leadership throughout the design projects.
4. Conceptualization: Develop innovative and creative interior design concepts that align with the project's objectives, including space planning, furniture selection, color schemes, materials, and finishes.
5. Space Planning: Utilize your expertise to optimize spatial layouts, ensuring functionality, flow, and efficiency within the interior spaces.
6. Material and Product Selection: Select and source materials, furnishings, fixtures, and accessories, considering the project's budget, timeline, and sustainability goals.
7. Documentation: Produce detailed design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings, adhering to industry standards.
8. Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring that design solutions are cost-effective without compromising quality.
9. Vendor and Contractor Liaison: Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring the successful implementation of design plans.
10. Quality Control: Oversee the execution of design projects to ensure they meet high-quality standards, deadlines, and client satisfaction.
11. Trends and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices, and incorporate them into your design approach.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design, with a proven track record of managing and leading design projects.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering tools.
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and best practices.
Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
