As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Regent Group, you will be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining our evolving IT infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition to a cloud-based environment and play a crucial role in enhancing our overall technology stack, contributing to the overall success of our organization. You'll collaborate with a small, dedicated team, working on both major initiatives and smaller system improvements. The role offers opportunities to expand your skills in infrastructure technology, cyber security and overall IT Operations Specific duties and responsibilities · Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions in alignment with business requirements. · Collaborate with the Cyber Security Manager to implement security best practices in the infrastructure. · Manage and optimise our hybrid infrastructure during the transition to a fully cloud-based environment. · Lead the deployment and management of Office 365 services, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. · Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline application deployment processes. · Provide technical expertise and support for infrastructure-related issues and initiatives. · Stay current with industry trends and technologies, making recommendations for continuous improvement. · Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant infrastructure solutions. · Conduct regular performance tuning and optimisation of infrastructure components to enhance efficiency and resource utilisation. · Lead the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies to enhance the organisation's infrastructure capabilities. · Lead the documentation efforts for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. · Collaborate with IT support teams to troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure-related issues. Additional duties: · Escalating key issues and liaising with Supplier Support · Improving operational processes in terms of change management, Disaster recovery, internal and external audits Person Specification EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL QUALITIES Essential: · Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. · Proven experience as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in a complex, multi-site environment. · Strong expertise in cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure and Office 365. · Familiarity with network design, security, and protocols. · Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. · Excellent problem-solving and communication skills · Advanced proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and orchestration of infrastructure tasks. · Demonstrated experience in successfully leading migration projects from on-premises infrastructure to cloud-based environments, preferably with Microsoft Azure. · Strong manager with effective team management skills
