DevOps Senior Sysadmin
Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic DevOps Sysadmin. As a Sr. Sysadmin, you
will be responsible to create, maintain, support, and monitor the necessary AWS based
infrastructure for the company's applications. The Sysadmin will also assist solutions for various
projects and operational needs.
Nature of Duties
● Responsible to deploy software and systems in a production environment
● Responsible for the configuration, deployment, administration, monitoring, analysis, and
support of application services and systems
● Responsible to provide solutions for 7x24 operations using DevOps methodologies and
tools (Automation)
● Ensure that we are using the right infrastructure technologies for our applications
● Ensure the integrity, security, and confidentiality of the applications by applying adequate
patterns and methods
● Perform network performance analysis and troubleshooting within AWS VPC
● Oversee system performance and troubleshoot issues
● Creating backups and business continuity strategies
● Performing system upgrades following new releases
● Maintaining internal documentation of build procedures
● Performing account setup;
● Ensuring high-level security and efficiency
Requirements
Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field
● Advanced knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues (4 years or more)
● Advanced Experience in cloud-related network administration (4 years or more)
● Advanced Experience in monitoring applications in the cloud infrastructure
● Advanced experience (4 years or more) with AWS is required: Ability to use a wide
variety of open source technologies (Apache, etc) and cloud services (ELB, EBS, S3,
Security Groups)
● Advanced experience with Linux required. (4 years or more)
● Experience to code and script
● Experience with systems and IT operations
● Good communication skills, both in written and in verbal form
