Job Description:
Cimpress is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Engineering, with expertise in ETL processes, SQL, Airflow, and Snowflake. As a Data Engineer at Cimpress, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support the organization's data-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities:
-ETL Development: Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the Snowflake data warehouse.
-SQL Expertise: Write complex SQL queries and optimize database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
-Airflow Implementation: Utilize Apache Airflow to create, schedule, and monitor workflows, ensuring the reliability and timeliness of data pipelines.
-Data Modeling: Work closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate data models within the Snowflake environment.
-Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data stored in the data warehouse.
-Performance Tuning: Optimize and fine-tune existing ETL processes, SQL queries, and data models to enhance overall system performance.
-Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
-Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data models, and system architecture to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure system sustainability.
Requirements:
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
-Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering roles, with a focus on ETL processes, SQL, Airflow, and Snowflake.
-Technical Skills:
-Proficient in SQL with experience in performance tuning.
-Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
-Strong expertise in Snowflake data warehouse architecture and administration.
-Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
-Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
