We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Chemist to join our food testing laboratory team. The ideal candidate should possess a post- graduate degree in Chemistry or a related field, along with previous experience working in a food testing laboratory. Additionally, candidates who have successfully passed the FSSAI Food Analyst Exam will be given preference. The Chemist will be responsible for performing a wide range of Residue analyses on food & Water samples, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the laboratory's quality assurance procedures. Responsibilities:
- Conduct residue analysis of food samples using a variety of analytical techniques and instruments.
- Perform routine tests to determine the presence and quantity of various contaminants, additives, and nutritional components in food products.
- Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance.
- Develop and validate new analytical methods as required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including FSSAI guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-graduate degree in Chemistry
- Experience working in a food testing laboratory environment or relevant industry is required.
- Successful completion of the FSSAI Food Analyst Exam is preferable.
- Proficient in a wide range of analytical techniques, such as HPLC, GCMSMS, LCMSMS ,ICP- spectrophotometry, etc.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality standards, and testing methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
