Senior Bridge Engineer

The Senior Bridge Engineer is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Bridge Engineering projects. This includes the design, analysis, and construction oversight of bridges to ensure they meet safety standards, regulations, and client specifications. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, coordination with clients and stakeholders, and the ability to provide technical expertise and guidance.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

• Lead and manage Bridge Engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.

1. Design and Analysis:

• Perform structural analysis and design of bridges using industry-standard software.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions.

1. Technical Expertise:

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Bridge Engineering.

1. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the quality and accuracy of design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct reviews and assessments to identify potential issues and risks.

1. Construction Oversight:

• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Address and resolve technical issues during the construction phase.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as necessary.

1. Client Interaction:

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
• Provide regular project updates and address client concerns.

1. Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as geotechnical and transportation engineers.
• Work closely with architects, environmental consultants, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
2. Significant experience in Bridge Engineering, with a focus on design and analysis.
3. Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
4. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
5. Excellent project management and leadership skills.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in bridge Construction engineering, with 5 years in a leadership or senior role.
