Title: Senior AWS DevOps Engineer - Observability and Telemetry Expert
Location: Bangalore(Hybrid)
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with a deep understanding of
Observability and Telemetry principles and a proven track record in designing, implementing, and
managing robust monitoring and analytics solutions on the AWS platform. In this role, you will be
responsible for architecting and optimizing our Observability and Telemetry infrastructure to provide
actionable insights into the performance, reliability, and health of our systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of Observability and Telemetry solutions on the
AWS platform, leveraging services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS X-Ray, and AWS Config.
- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to collect,
analyze, and visualize telemetry data (metrics, logs, traces) from diverse sources across our AWS
infrastructure.
- Develop custom monitoring metrics, dashboards, and reports to track key performance indicators
(KPIs), detect anomalies, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Implement automated remediation workflows and self-healing mechanisms to address common
operational issues and ensure the reliability and availability of our systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Observability and Telemetry solutions into the
software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and
infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in observability, telemetry, and
AWS services to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our monitoring and analytics
capabilities.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams on best practices for
instrumenting, collecting, and analyzing telemetry data effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6-9 years of professional experience in DevOps or software engineering roles, with a focus on AWS
cloud technologies.
- Expertise in Observability and Telemetry tools and practices, including hands-on experience with
CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS X-Ray, and AWS Config.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, or similar languages to build
monitoring and analytics solutions.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and
cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or
Ansible.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for
continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced,
agile environment
